You know, when I was a teenager I was something like a trekkie. I never had a uniform or a communicator but I was a huge fan of the Next Generation and Mr. Spock was my idol because he used to live between two worlds and I felt like him: to fulfill the expectations of my family or to live my way? And I wished I could be a member of Star Fleet..
Ur, what a piece of s**t is the new movie! Do they dare to call it Star Trek?! They completely ruined everything I loved: the idea, the characters, the story, the message...
I can understand that they do not use an old Star Trek theme, that they had to choose new actors, that Spock Nr.1 is not young anymore.. But.. BUT!!!
I like the face of new Spock because he really looks like Spock in his younger days. Unfortunately that is all I can say. He is "cold" and "logical" enough but lacks his typical mysterious fluid. And I really do not understand the thing with Uhura!
I liked some jokes too and I liked to hear "Where no man has gone before.." at the end of the film. It was nice to see Leonard Nimoy again..
The rest is just a junk.
So it is truth what I heard earlier: Trekkies will probably hate the movie because this is not Star Trek.
People who are/were not fans will probably like it.
